The R.A.C.E. Protocol

If you discover a fire, do not immediately grab an extinguisher. Follow these four critical steps first.

Rescue

Remove anyone in immediate danger from the fire area, but only if it is safe to do so. Do not put your own life at risk.

🏃‍♂️

Spot the Fault: Click the pulsing hotspots to inspect the extinguisher.

Monthly Visual Inspection

Extinguishers must be inspected regularly to ensure they are ready for an emergency.

Safe Approach & Positioning

Imagine the grid is a room. The Fire is at the top, and the Exit Door is at the bottom.

Click a grey square to position yourself in the room with your extinguisher.

The Fire Triangle

A fire requires three elements to burn. Extinguishers work by removing at least one of these elements.

Click on a side of the triangle to remove an element and see how the fire is extinguished.
